15 December 2021 CBC Launches ‘Live, Work, Play’ Campaign
The Cowra Business Chamber has officially launched its ‘Live, Work, Play’ advertising campaign for Cowra, with the advertisements going live on WIN TV on Sunday night.
The campaign was launched at a function at the Japanese Garden on Sunday afternoon, being aimed at encouraging people from outside of the Central West to consider travelling to Cowra for a holiday, setting up their business in Cowra or moving to Cowra permanently to work and raise their family.
It features three different advertisementsone portraying each of the ‘Live’, ‘Work’ and ‘Play’ themes, showing local businesses and attractions relevant to each theme.
The advertisement will appear on WIN TV during prime time in its Canberra, Wollongong and Newcastle broadcasting areas, and will appear in some off-peak time slots in the Central West.
Cowra Shire Council partnered with the CBC to make the campaign possible by contributing $20,000 to the 6-month long campaign that is valued at $40,000.
A private business contributed $5000, while the CBC will pay the remaining $15,000. WIN TV contributed a 40% discount to the value of the entire campaign. The campaign comes as a massive boost to Cowra to help attract more tourists, businesses and residents to town, after some negativity surrounding the closure of K-Hub.
CBC Secretary Grace Williams said it was an initiative of the CBC created with the intention of showcasing the Cowra region across the state and beyond, and in turn, attracting population, business and tourism growth for our community.
“As the name suggests, this campaign is underpinned by three (3) key themes: Live - Cowra’s wholesome and familyfriendly environment; Work - The diverse range of secure employment opportunities available across a multitude of industries; and Play - The endless list of fun, relaxing and recreational attractions in and around Cowra with linkages to tourism,” she said.
