Beautifying The Main Street And Promoting The Region
Cowra Tourism Corporation have unveiled their latest initiative to help beautify Cowra’s main street as well as promote the region to passers-by.
Occupying the unused windows of the Cowra Plaza (previously the location of Skinners’ Butchery) are photos of Cowra’s premiere tourist attractions including the Cowra Japanese Garden, Wyangala Dam, the Prisoner of War Campsite, Canola Fields, Cowra Wine Region, Lachlan Valley Heritage Railway Centre, and the world-famous Cowra POW Hologram.
“It’s such a fantastic opportunity for us to put up some beautiful imagery on the main street while at the same time, attracting the attention of those who pass through Cowra, but are not aware of all the incredible things we have to offer as a destination.” Said Cowra Tourism Manager Kurt Overzet. “We’re very grateful to Knight Frank for the opportunity to utilise the space, and Signworx for their great work with the installation”.
The initiative makes up part of the recent update of the ‘Visit Cowra’ and ‘Cowra Tourism’ branding, which took place in October, including a brand new tourism logo. prominently displayed with the imagery.
