Calleen Art Award 2024 Opening Soon

FRIDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER 2024, 7PM

This exciting annual Spring event is presented by the Cowra Regional Art Gallery including the announcement of the Calleen Art Award 2024 winner by the Award Judge, Richard Perram OAM. Also, for your enjoyment during the opening the Gallery is hosting a special night of music by local singer and musician Simone Thornett.

The prestigious Calleen Art Award is a major and important highlight of the gallery’s annual exhibition programme.

Its focus supporting diversity and innovation of Australian contemporary painting has made it a favourite annual exhibition event with the Cowra community and art lovers across the region. The Calleen Art Award is open to Australian artists (aged 18 years and over) and through the generous support of the Calleen Trust the winner of the Calleen Art Award 2024 will receive $30,000 in prize money. There are 48 finalists in the exhibition selected by the panel of art professionals including leading and emerging artists. The Gallery is honoured and excited to be showcasing these artworks in the Calleen Art Award 2024 exhibition.
