After another disjointed year of competition, it was very pleasing to be able to welcome 33 shooters to the Club on Saturday 6 November. Hopefully there will be no further disruptions in the future. The highlight event of the afternoon was the Lachlan Valley Double Barrel Championship with Justin Smith from Boorowa taking out the overall trophy with a score of 108/108 closely followed by local Cowra shooter, Tony O’Leary on 107/108. Others to perform well were father & son, Ewen & Pat Dun, Peter Mould & Tom Peadon.

The Jackpot Trophy off handicap was taken out by Grady Evans from Bathurst after shooting 43/44 off the back mark of 25 metres. Cliff Dykes finished 2nd to Grady and Damian Rowett achieved 3rd place.

Congratulations must go to Grady Evans who was in hot form winning the High Gun for the afternoon with a grand total of 99/100!! Great shooting, Grady.

Our next competition in December – our Christmas shoot - will feature the Central Zone Champion of Champions which was to be held in August but was rescheduled due to COVID. We hope to see quite a few from around the Zone come to vie for this prestigious title.
