Cowra Lions offers the Cowra Lions Tertiary Scholarship Program for Health, Science, Engineering, Agriculture and Teaching for students who graduated from either Cowra High School or St Raphael’s Catholic School. The scholarship is a once only contribution of $1,000 to each individual for their second continuing year of full-time tertiary studies at the same institution or if in a different institution, being the same course of study, subject to the applicant having achieved a minimum of a credit average in the first year of that same course. Previously successful applicants continuing in their studies are welcome to apply.
The Scholarship Application Form can be submitted to Cowra Lions Club at the completion of the first year of tertiary studies, but prior to 31 January 2024, with transcripts of results from the tertiary institution. Successful students will be advised no later than 29 February 2024 and the award of the scholarship funds will be made one month after commencement of the second year of study.
