The Cowra Show Society is all set to host its first Spring Show since before Covid in 2019, with one of its biggest shows yet to run this Friday and Saturday.

The show has a jam-packed schedule, headlined by one of Australia’s biggest country music stars, Adam Brand, on Friday night, and the always-popular fireworks display on Saturday night. All the action begins at 3pm on Friday, and will conclude at 9pm on Saturday after the fireworks.

The show has it all this year, including pavilion displays, rides, ‘Dinkum Dinosaurs’ comedy puppet show, and ‘Roof Top Express in the Campdraft’ on the Friday afternoon and evening.

Adam Brand will then light up the stage on Friday night.

Each event is included in the entry ticket price except for the Adam Brand concert, with tickets for $50 to be purchased for entry to this.

Adam Brand will be supported by one of Australia’s best young talents in Brittany Maggs.

Across more than two decades in song, soulful country songsmith Adam Brand has made a close study of love in its every facet. With glorious new single ‘Still the One’, Adam delivers an irresistible reflection on sustaining connection in the face of adversity.

New to the Australian pop music scene, Brittany Maggs has announced the release of her debut single ‘Lazy Boy’. The tongue in cheek urban pop anthem, was inspired by talks with her girlfriends about the lazy boys on the modern dating scene, empowering young women and men to be strong, independent and not put up with a lazy boy!

To purchase tickets to the concert go to Ticketek at https://premier.ticketek.com.au/shows/Show.aspx?sh=COWRASAB22. Saturday will be the main day of the show, with events running from 8:30am to 9pm.

Events include rides, displays in the pavilion, the sports shear, horse show, NSW Lamb Show, stud cattle, poultry, woodchopping, rock climbing, animal nursery, Little Farmers Discovery Tour, live reptile display shows, lawn mower racing, the ‘Dinkum Dinosaur Comedy Puppet Show’ and ‘The Dinkum Dancing Dinosaur’, junior showgirl, showboy, miss and master tiny tots, dog high jump, demolition derby, the fireworks and the ‘Northeast Party House’.

The ‘Northeast Party House’ is ticketed separately at $50. The raucous six-piece party band from Melbourne has brought thrilling live shows to stages locally and internationally for over 10 years. With a new album in tow, including songs produced by The Presets’ Kim Moyes, they arrive with a set of contagious melodies and sugary hooks, adding to their existing collection of bangers.

Tickets are available from Ticketek at https://premier.ticketek.com.au/shows/Show.aspx?sh=COWRASNP22. This year’s pavilion displays will include a photography competition, art exhibition, colouring competition, First Nations art competition, young artists competition, needlework and handicraft, cookery and preserves, farm produce and flowers.

Horse events will include ponies, horse breeds, Australian Stockhorses, Galloways, Hacks, small breeds, RDA, and show jumping.
