Cowra Sport Round-Up

Reserve Grade, Under 18’s & Senior League Tag Rugby League were postponed against Lithgow Workies due to Covid restrictions. Round 10 will see all three take on Mudgee on home ground at Sid Kallas Oval.

Rugby Union
1st Grade. 1st Grade took on Orange Emus on Saturday securing a draw against the green and white at 12-12. Round 11 will see them face Forbes Platypi in Forbes on July 3rd. 2nd Grade - The Eagles 2nd Grade went down to Orange Emus at 37-0. They also face Forbes on Saturday.

AFL - The Cowra Blues lost to Parkes Panthers in round 7. Cowra finished at 4.4-28 and Parkes 9.11-65. The Blues will take on Ba-thurst Giants on Saturday the 3rd of July at Mulyan Oval.

Soccer - Results for 19th of June. Although A grade lost 4-1, they gave it their best shot while short players. Despite putting up a good game C grade also went down. Girls took home the win at 3-2. A club representative said “everyone played well as a team, we see improvements every week.”

Junior Rugby League - A muddy and wet game saw Under 12’s win against St Pats Blue 14-12. Under 13’s lost to St Pat’s 36-12. Under 14’s won against Bloomfield Tigers 34-10 and Under 15’s went down against St Pat’s White 32-12.

Junior League tag - Under 11’s took on CYMS white and lost 42-18. Under 13’s played St Pat’s with Pink winning 38-8 and Opens played Orange CYMS with Green losing 36-4. Both league tag and tackle have a two week break and resume on the 17th of July.
