Cowra Parkrun - Last week’s run was canceled due to weather but the park run is back in action for 2022. Head on over to their Facebook page to register for this free weekly event. At 8am every Saturday people can take to the 5km track for a run, jog or walk and have their efforts timed by supportive volunteers.

Rugby League - Teams in both senior and junior grades are preparing for their seasons. Registration is open for Cowra Junior Rugby League as are coaching positions. If anyone is interested in coaching and donating their time to a great community group, please contact them via Facebook. All registrations for junior rugby league need to go through playrugbyleague.com.

Active kids vouchers - The first active kids vouchers for 2022 can now be used for sport registrations. Many different sporting groups across Cowra accept the active kids vouchers.

Swimming - Canowindra swimming club is holding their carni-val on January 30th for members only. To participate head to swim central to get an entry in.

Golf - Cowra Golf Club is gearing up for Australia Day Golf on Wednesday 26th January. $15pp and kids under 15 play and eat free. Head to their Facebook page for more information.

Cowra Cup - Last Sunday’s Cowra Cup was won by the second favourite ‘Westlink’, ridden by jockey Nick Heywood and trained by Darren Hyde. Cowra’s ‘Just A Flash’, trained by Andrew Molloy and ridden by Matthew Cahill, both of Cowra, finished in 7th place.
