Cowra Wine Show Returns

On Monday 19th July, Cowra’s very own 38th Wine Show and 6th Single Vineyard Wine Show will again take place when glasses are polished, corks popped and judging starts at the magnificent Showground Hall.

Ten of Australia’s top Wine Judges, plus 6 Associate Judges will then sniff and sip their way through over 900 of Australia’s top wines, sourced from every state in Australia. Trophy judging will be held on Thursday morning and the Exhibitor’s tasting, where all exhibitors get their chance to talk to the judges about the points allocated to their wines, will be held on Thursday afternoon. Again, in keeping with the “Fun Theme” of the evening, prizes will be awarded to the group that is judged to be the most “innovatively” dressed at the tasting. As well there will be lucky door prizes and a prize for the patron that has travelled the furthest to be there.

Two weeks later on Saturday 7th August, we hold our Grand Presentation Evening, again at the Show Hall, where trophies are awarded to all the Top Gold Medal winning wines, judged during the show week. Tickets are available for this event, where you enjoy a sumptuous degustation dinner, with many matching Gold Medal winning wines. Tickets are available at the show office.

The Cowra Wine Show committee is proud to be able to source most of the Trophies awarded, from Cowra’s, very own, world renown Potter, Greg Daly.

We know from feedback we have received from previous year, that these trophies are keenly sort after, and proudly and prominently displayed at the wineries of previous winners.

We hope to see you all on Saturday 24th July, when you get your chance to responsi-bly sniff and sip and slurp your way through the 900 + wines and test your palate against the expert judges.
