Cowra’s Ky Garratt Wins National Championship

Cowra local Ky Garratt took out the National Championship in the under 16 hammer throw at the Australian All Schools Track and Field Championships 2022 in Adelaide earlier this month.

It was an amazing achievement for the local high school student, who competed at the event which ran from December 9-11.

He was the NSW runner up in the same event earlier this year, and was able to go one better at the Nationals.

He was joined at the event by fellow Cowra local Emily Thomas, who also competed in the hammer throw. She took out the bronze medal in her division. Congratulations on your incredible win Ky! We wish you all the best in your future sporting endeavours.
