Cricket back in Cowra

Club Cowra is leading the way to bring Cricket back to Cowra.

A social 20/20 format is proposed, and the hope is to get a couple of rounds in before Christmas with the bulk of the new competition to be held in the New Year. Association President Paul Basham says the idea is to bring family’s back to the game “Its going to be all about families, taking cricket back the days where the kids run around, and families had the day out together”.

Paul added the support of Club Cowra, Elders Insurance, Switch Ag, Brother Fox Barber Shop, Cowra Locksmiths, Cowra Health Club, Beds R Us Sportspower has been great in helping us get this going”.

The Cowra Cricket Association also includes the Valleys Cricket Club representing Cowra in the A grade Parkes Competition and a Grinstead Cup Challenge is also on the cards. For more information, please contact Association Secretary Marc McLeish on 0417756524
