Together for Riverina has announced Jenny Rolfe as the independent candidate for the 2025 Federal election
After feedback from the community the selection committee has endorsed Jenny Rolfe to contest the seat of Riverina putting people before politics.
“The result of the preselection reflects the feedbackwe received from the community and we are confident that Jenny will make a great candidate and Member of Parliament for Riverina” Alex Tewes, Chair of the preselection Committee.
Jenny Rolfe says: “It is a privilege to be chosen as the community-backed independent candidate for Riverina, and it comes with significant responsibility and opportunity.
I take seriously the responsibility to put people before politics, and to listen deeply to the needs and concerns of residents in every part of the electorate, from Cowra to Crookwell, Grenfell to Gundagai, Jugiong to Junee, Mangoplah to Marrar, Temora to Tumbarumba, Yass to Yerong Creek, and everywhere in between.
I’m also excited about the opportunity to provide representation that amplifies the collective voice of our communities, ensuring it is heard in Parliament, and working to take meaningful action on the issues that matter most to us.
I don’t aspire to be a politician who seeks the spotlight or plays political games. Rather, I want to be a great representative who puts the people of Riverina first, is transparent, and works hard to make a real, positive difference.”
A grassroots group, Together for Riverina is made up of local community members across the region, including people from the old Riverina electorate and recently added communities.
