In what proved to be a long wait for the Junior Magpies, their patience was rewarded with their end of year presentation finally taking place last Friday night at the Cowra Services Club.
Under 12’s, 13’s, 14’s and 15’s were treated to a dinner and an inspiring night of trophies and speeches as the coaches awarded their most distinguished players for the season.
Proud smiles, pats on the back and applause filled the room as they were presented their jerseys.
Although Covid put a stop to the final rounds, the coaches were full of encouragement, reminding the juniors that the scoreboard doesn’t always matter, it’s the effort they put in through the year that shows their true grit and determination.
The generosity didn’t end there with the teams presenting their coaches with a gift for the hard work they put in as volunteers. The President, Justin Gunn, and Vice President, Danny Quinn, had one last surprise up their sleeve as they took a moment to thank the women who work tirelessly on the committee, presenting them with a stunning hamper, warming many hearts in the room.
With pre-season right around the corner, the Magpies have a small break before they lace up the boots and begin their training for what is shaping up to be a massive 2022 season.
