K-Hub To Open Next Year

Written by: The Cowra Phoenix

Cowra’s new K-Hub store will reopen in the new year, after structural issues with its building were identified during its transition from being a Target store.

A K-Mart spokesperson said the company was working with the landlord on resolving the issues and apologised for not being able to reopen before Christmas.

“We apologise to the community for any inconvenience caused and will con-tinue to provide access to our products through our home delivery service and in our closest stores - Kmart Orange and K-Hub Forbes,” they said.

“We will continue to support our Cowra team members through this time includ-ing working through temporary redeployment opportunities within the Wesfarmers Group and other local business.”

Cowra Mayor Bill West said Council and the State Government had supported the K-Hub transition by upgrading its public carpark to the tune of $1.3 million. “Council has had discussions with K-Mart representatives and undoubtedly will continue to do so,” he said.

“K-Mart themselves are disappointed in the delay, particularly leading into Christmas.
