Members of the Morongla CWA with First Aid Awareness and Train-ing instructor Samantha Sculthorpe.

Thank you to Sam Sculthorpe from First Aid Awareness And Training for speaking to Morongla CWA at the March meeting. We really appreciate her taking the time to chat. Sam’s passion shines so bright and it’s infectious.

Sam’s talk focused on CPR for women, she used her new so called Womanikin to demonstrate how we need to “get comfortable” with breasts which we found most helpful.

Sam hopes this CPR dummy will help change the finding that women are less likely than men to receive CPR if they suffer from a cardiac arrest in public as bystanders’ are more reluctant to touch the chest of a woman.

New from Morongla Red Cross: Street stall coming up on the 5th April in front of Kendal St chemist.
