Monday morning 7th October, the sun was shining and the Morongla Showground was coming to life with horse floats arriving, marques going up and pavilion entries arriving to celebrate the 103rd Morongla Show.
A great day it was with locals and visitors enjoying the sunshine, St Rapheals school ran the canteen with the smell of the BBQ wafting across the showground. The children were well catered for with free rock climbing wall, jumping castle, plaster painting, sand pit, big games, tug-of-war, running races and novelty races.
The dog high jump drew a crowd, thanks to Cowra Veterinary Centre for running this event.
The Man made chocolate cake was won by Bob Binnington. All 8 cakes were auctioned and the proceeds donated to Cowra Riding for the Disabled a total of $555.
The districts best prime lambs were on display with W.B. Langfield & son scooping the pool with Champion pen of three prime lambs, Champion sucker lamb and Most successful exhibitor.
In the wool shed the Cowra Ladies Spinners had their wheels spinning a local fleece donated by Jim & Myrtle Wright.
The Most Successful Exhibitor in the wool was Graham Wallace.
The Farm Produce section was hotly contested with Wright Glen Ian taking out Most Successful Exhibitor.
The pavilion was very well supported again full of cooking, flowers, craft, sewing and art.

The day concluded with St Raphaels school running the kids rainbow run and a delicious afternoon tea served in the hall.
