Another successful weekend of Squash was had by several Cowra squash players over at Parkes Squash Club on the 2nd and 3rd of April.
The Parkes Doubles competition organised by Jay and Judy Kross twice a year are major events for many players across the region.
There were 78 teams in the competitionover the weekend, the biggest they’ve ever had play in the competition. Congratulations Parkes Squash Club!
The Cowra players who went over to play included: Mitch Beer, Karl Lanham, Bianca Lyons, Sandra Uren, Nicky Savage, Alex McFarland, Tom Baker, Tracey Taylor, Hayley Taylor and Amber Taylor.
All players competed in a minimum of three games and all played extremely well.
We had a few players and teams make the finals:
Karl Lanham (with partner Mitch Foord) who successful won Mens A grade from Tom Baker (with partner Mark Neilson). Bianca Lyons and Amber Taylor were successful in securing the win for Women’s B Grade.
Congratulations to all players who represented Cowra. A big thank you the Jay and Judy Kross for organisation another brilliant event in the district.
