Paul Smith Wants Positive & Progressive Future

Written by: The Cowra Phoenix

Cowra is a brilliant town, that has been good to my family and I. I am proud of Cowra, and I would like to give back. Having recently retired, I now have the time to devote to the people of Cowra. I have both children and grandchildren in Cowra, and I would like to ensure a positive, progressive future for them, and the generations to come.

I would also like to investigate ways to reduce the cost of water and other charges to ratepayers. If elected, I will be contactable to discuss any concerns, ideas and seek feedback from residents.

I have extensive business experience, having had successful retail businesses in both Cowra and western NSW including Orange, Dubbo, Wagga, Albury and Tamworth. I will bring this business experience to Council to help local businesses reach their full potential. I would like to see a busy, vibrant shopping precinct in Cowra.

I have been involved in many community organisations including Treasurer of Junior League, Legacy, Chairman of Life Education for ten years, President of Rotary, Chairman of the Japanese Garden and Treasurer of the Golf Club during major renovations. Currently, I am the Chief Steward of the Wine Show and the Treasurer of the Cowra Retirement Village, Bilyara.

It would be an honour to be elected to Council, and to represent the good people of Cowra. Not only will I ensure honesty and transparency, I will also ensure positivity and a good attitude towards the residents of Cowra.

Vote 1 Paul Smith on December 4.
