The Cowra PCYC will be relaunching its social sport schedule from next Monday, October 25, after a two month break forced by COVID-19 restrictions.

With NSW having now reached its 80% fully vaccinated roadmap milestone, community sport is allowed to recommence.

Next week will see the return of table tennis, min-movers, touch football, volleyball, basketball, netball and parkour. Cowra PCYC Manager Geoff Taylor said it was great to be able to get back in action, but stressed that only fully vaccinated people over the age of 12 could participate.

“We’re looking forward to getting everyone back in and playing sport again next week at the PCYC,” he said.

“We really do need to ensure, though, that everyone that walks in is fully vaccinated. We will be checking everyone’s proof of vaccination at the door.” Players that pay for their sport in full by the end of today (October 20) will get a 10% discount on their fees. Players that play more than one sport will also get a 10% discount off their fees.

All sports will run until December 13. All players must be PCYC members. Membership fees are $25 for adults and $10 for under 18’s.

Mini-movers will cost $64 this term, and run each Monday and Thursday from 11am to 12pm.

Table Tennis will run Monday-Wednesday 5:30pm to 8pm at $7 per session. Touch Football will be on Monday nights from 5pm to 5:45pm for juniors ($80 for the term) and 6pm onwards for seniors ($115 for the term).

Volleyball will be on Tuesdays from 6pm ($95 term), while basketball will be on Wednesdays - 5pm to 6pm juniors ($65 term) and 6pm onwards seniors ($95 term).

Netball will be from 6pm each Thursday ($100 term), and parkour will run on Fridays at 4pm to 4:50pm juniors and 5pm-5;50pm seniors ($100 term + $60 GymNSW fee).
