Manager Marc Eisenhauer at the Cowra Bowling Club is looking forward to hosting The Rise Foundation next week.

Cowra High School Students and the wider community will be invited to attend free sessions on mental health, physical health, wellness, conversations, suicide, coping strategies and help pathways.

Fully supported by the Cowra Bowling Club, the program will provide local students with the tools they need to navigate the sometimes difficult part of their adolescent years.

Rise Foundation Australia was founded by Australia Day Award Winner and qualified mental health trainer Ben Higgs. Ben and the team are use evidence based technical expertise and personal insights through lived experience to up skill businesses, communities and individuals in suicide prevention and mental health wellbeing.

“We believe that the bad days are just as important as the good ones. It’s about accepting that these bad days are going to happen.

Most of our learning comes from failing, and then picking yourself back up and pushing on.

From making mistakes and moving forward. From falling and then rising.” Ben, Rise Foundation.

Community members are also encouraged to come along to the free evening session hosted at the Cowra Bowling Club at 7pm on the 13th of September. Both programs will incorporate the Rise Foundations core teachings to help support residents of the Cowra community. More information can be found by contacting the club on 6342 1279.
