This September, Cowra Civic Centre is excited to offer a diverse range of activities and screenings that cater to every interest.

We started off with Sons of Sun: Elvis, Jerry Lee, Johnny and Me on Father’s Day, Sunday, September 1st at 2pm. This rock ‘n’ roll play honors the legendary artists of Sun Records, featuring a live 3-piece band and Cowra’s own Murray Cook.

Don’t miss the Eishan Ensemble on September 6th. Their performance, described as ‘Persian chamber jazz,’ promises to be a unique and captivating experience.

September also brings a slew of thrilling film releases! Catch the adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s It Ends With Us, the star-studded Borderlands with Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black, and Australian films like Runt, based on Craig Silvey’s novel, and Take My Hand, based on a true story.

Plus, look out for Thelma, Alien Romulus, and the eagerly awaited Beetlejuice sequel.

We’re also offering Sensory movie screenings starting Wednesday, September 4th at 11am with Ezra, and Bring Your Baby screenings beginning Tuesday, September 10th with It Ends With Us. These screenings feature adjusted sound and lighting for a comfortable and inclusive experience.

Tickets for our Cowra Show Eve event (October 17th) with country music duo Darlinghurst and local talents Josie Laver and Emily Reynolds are also now on sale.
