School is just around the corner and the last minute shop for supplies may cause headaches for parents who will flock to online shopping.
With more vacant shops lining the main street it is easy to see why online shop-ping or visiting another town seems like the only option, however with a little hunt-ing, parents can deck out their children with all the essentials for the school year ahead right here in town. Local businesses face the never ending uphill battle of Covid and they need the support of the town again now more than ever.
Why not try the local newsagents for books, pens, pencils, rulers etc., and head on over the road to Shoes 4 You to grab that perfect pair of school shoes. If sport is more up their alley why not try Sportspower for joggers, shorts, socks, drink bottles, gym bags etc.
If you pop up the main street a little further to Rourke and Henry you can find school bags, hats and lunch bags.
They also have some adorable bows and ribbons to accessorize Cowra’s youngest trend setters for school.
There are many home based businesses in Cowra who will embroider, engrave and personalize just about anything from labels to lunch boxes, bags, blankets and pillows.
A quick Facebook search will help you discover the amazing talents of Cowra residents who don’t have a brick and mortar store, but offer high quality products.
Our town may not boast an Orange-level of retail, but we can support one another to keep the stores we do have thriving and open, which is a win-win for us all.
