Australian Clipper Club In Woodstock This Weekend

The Australian Clipper Club will stop in Woodstock this weekend as part of its annual rally.

On Saturday the 6th there will be an opportunity for people to view the buses from 10am at the Woodstock Show Ground. There will also be a vintage car display along with about 18 Clippers. The Ansair Flxible Clipper is a widely recognised and well remembered touring coach (bus), and the rally will feature these vehicles.

Built in Melbourne by Ansair Pty Ltd under licence from the Flxible Company in the USA, they were used Australia-wide as touring and express coaches during the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, by Pioneer and other operators.

Club members own collectively 50 Clippers, of which nearly one half may be undergoing restoration, or spare parts vehicles. There are approximately 28 Clippers currently up and running around Australia, and there are members and vehicles in all States and Territories.
