NAPCAN Looking For Members
NAPCAN wants young people to be included in the conversations surrounding child safety, respectful relationships and consent.
It is in search of a diverse group (ages 13-25) from across Australia to spark conversation and help make a difference! There is time to learn, share thoughts, have fun, and lots to benefit from (including being paid).

ATO Scam Alert
The ATO has been in contact as there is a SMS message scam going around in regards to a tax repayment. Please do not trust suspicious emails. An example message is: “ATO: You are due a repayment of income tax for the tax year 2020/2021. Please complete form on: https:Rebate…” Please ignore this and do not click on any links.
Morongla Red Cross News
The Morongla Red Cross held the an-nual meeting recently. Zone Rep Sue Sharp chaired the meeting and we were pleased to have some members from Grenfell and Cowra Branches attend. Mr Graham Apthorpe was the guest speaker. Graham spoke about the book he wrote “A Town at War” and donated a book to our branch.

We wore our heels, gloves and pearls as C.W.A. was 100 years old. Started first at Crookwell H.S.W. poems and jokes good last meeting. Animals and Birds Cultural for August 3rd Meeting.
Cowra CWA News
Cowra Mayor, Bill West was the guest speaker at the July meeting of the Cowra CWA Evening Branch. $110 million has been allocated for the new hospital which will be located on the same site as the old hospital. The new facilities will include 4 Treatment Bays,28 InPatient beds, 2 Birthing Units, 14 Clinical rooms, 2 Palliative Care beds, 8 Renal Dialysis Chairs, 6 Chemotherapy chairs. A Tresilian Day Centre for new mothers will be established on a property close to the hospital. It would be helpful if members of the public took an interest In the Clinical Services Plan drawn up by concerned locals by asking the NSW Health Department to release it to the public.
Cowra CWA Evening Branch meets every second Wednesday of the month at the Cowra Services Club. Guests are always welcome as are women interested in joining. For more information contact President Kaye Kilby at 0414805090.
