‘Central West Unmasked’ is this year’s theme for Regional Development Australia Central West’s (RDA Central West) annual photography competition.

Entries are now open with entrants encouraged to capture the true essence and hidden gems of their hometowns. More information, including how to enter, can be found on the RDA Central West website at www.rdacentralwest.org.au

Funding Boost To Unlock New Homes

The region could benefit from a share in $12 million in funding from the NSW Government to help councils plan for housing that is affordable, diverse, and resilient to natural hazards.

Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke said councils are eligible to apply for up to $250,000 as part of the Regional Housing Strategic Planning Fund.

“I encourage all councils in the electorate to apply for funding to help deliver strategic Councils must nominate their initiatives under the Regional Housing Strategic Planning Fund by 30 September 2022.

NSW Government Responds To Regional Health Inquiry Report

The NSW Government has finalised its response to the Rural Health Inquiry, reaffirming its commitment to improve health outcomes for all people living in rural, regional and remote NSW.

Minister for Regional Health Bronnie Taylor said the NSW Government has today drawn a line in the sand, recognising the findings of the Inquiry and taking meaningful action to provide safe and high quality health care services in the bush.

The NSW Government supports or sup-ports in principle 41 of the 44 recommendations. Work is already underway to address many of these supported recommendations. Three recommendations are noted.
