Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke is hopeful a meeting with Health Minister Ryan Park will happen early in the new year, to advocate for two Tresillian beds to be reinstated in the build of the new Cowra Hospital.
It comes after Health Infrastructure NSW recently announced the beds had been removed from the redevelopment.
“As I say to people, we are not talking about a dedicated 20 bed facility that’s millions and millions of dollars, well over budget and not on time and whatnot. We are talking about two beds in a brand new hospital build that’s got to occur anyway; it just doesn’t make any sense. Our families need these beds, and that’s what I will be saying to the Health Minister,” Ms Cooke said.
