Target To Become K-Hub

Written by: The Cowra Phoenix

Cowra residents will benefit from having access to K-Mart, Target and Catch products from September, when Target transitions into a K-Hub store.

The store is one of around 70 regional Target stores nationwide that will be converted to a K-Hub store – a new concept of the Kmart Group, which includes Target and Catch, to improve the services of their stores in regional towns.

K-Hub stores not only include K-Mart items in store, but also act as a hub for online deliveries, where customers can collect online purchases from K-Mart, Target and Catch, without having to pay postage charges to their own homes.

Kmart Australia & New Zealand Retail Director John Gualtieri, said K-Mart was excited to open its new store in Cowra in September. “We’re taking our 200 most popular Kmart products across kids, home and clothing, and bringing them to life in a new way,” he said.

“Customers will be able to shop Kmart’s entire product range online using home delivery services. We’ll be using the store as a collection point for online Target and Catch orders too.”

Mr Gualtieri said all current Target Cowra team members would be re-employed to remain working at K-Hub, and would be trained on K-Hub products and systems.
