The Rugby Speed Coach put a group of Junior Rugby and Netball Players through their paces on Saturday with his famous Speed Clinic.

The clinic was run by a qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach who teaches the participants new techniques and skills that will not only make them faster on the field/court, but also enable them to practice at home using their own body weight. Parents and children alike praised the coach and the training as the session proved to be a huge success.

It proved to be a great opportunity for the athletes to learn how to move their body and increase acceleration and speed.

“It was good because I got to catch up with my mates from my football team and I learnt new techniques to make me run faster,” League player Braith said.

“If I keep practicing every day, Sony (the coach) said I will have a 6 pack in a month!”

Players from Bathurst, Orange, Young and Canowindra joined Cowra in the clinic that was graciously hosted by the Cowra Rugby Union Club.

With Netball and Football preparing to get started for their 2022 seasons, the athletes are looking forward to taking their newly developed skills to their upcoming competitions.
