Tresillian Cowra Offers New Services

Tresillian Cowra has announced it is offering some new services to help local parents in more ways than what it already does.
Tresillian is a not-for-profit helping parents and carers of newborns, toddlers and pre-schoolers experiencing sleep difficulties, feeding problems, supporting multiple babies and toddler behaviour challenges, whilst also focusing on the emotional wellbeing of the family.
Its Cowra branch has now been operating for four years.
It has just started an innivative new program for local dads - an evening fathers group virtually for local dads, teaching new dads about understanding their infants and young children’s emotions and to build their connection.
It also runs free feeding and sleeping consultations for new parents, with hands on coaching and demonstrations with the
parent in the centre, at home or virtually.
The highly trained nurses screen all parents for post-natal depression and anxiety and offer a tailored and induvial programme for each specific family They link them in with counsellors as required.
Toddlers are also catered for with education and support for families with toddlers with challenging behaviors, fussy eating and toddler sleep issues.
The Tresillian service has been supporting families in NSW for 104 years, beginning in Sydney, and spreading to regional NSW in recent years including Cowra, Forbes, Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo, Wagga Wagga, Cootamundra, Albury, Broken Hill, Lismore ,Tamworth, Grafton, Casino, Armidale, Queanbeyan,Taree, Macksville, Bega, Goulburn, and Moruya.
It also has a branch in Canberra.
Tresillian CEO Rob Mills said it is fantastic the organisation has a footprint in regional NSW, providing professional advice, education and guidance to regional families in partnership with the Western NSW Local Health District.
“Previously anyone in western NSW wishing to access a Tresillian Residential Unit needed to travel to Sydney. We are really looking forward to working on ensuring locals have a joyous and fulfilling parenting experience,” he said when the Cowra branch first opened.
