Cowra Regional Art Gallery

Commencing Sunday 26 November to Sunday 10 December the Cowra Regional Art Gallery is presenting upstART23 an exciting showcase of artwork by over 100 students in Stages 5 and 6 (years 9, 10, 11 and 12) from the following ten high schools - Blayney High School, Boorowa Central School, Canowindra High School, Cowra High School, Forbes High School, Hennessy Catholic College, The Henry Lawson High School, James Sheahan Catholic High School, St Raphael’s Catholic School Cowra and Young High School.

This year’s upstART Awards Judge is Heidi Windersen, artist and art educator and Operation Art Project Officer - The Arts Unit Student Support and Specialist Programs at the NSW Department of Education.

The exhibition comprises a diverse range of artworks, including experimental and creative approaches in painting, ceramics, mixed media, photography and sculpture. This is a ‘must-see’ exhibition of artworks by young artists presented by the Cowra Regional Art Gallery in association with high schools in the Central West.

A special opening and award presentations will take place at the Cowra Regional Art Gallery on Saturday 25 Novembers from 2pm admission is free. Guest speaker is Cr Paul Smith, Deputy Mayor. Cowra Shire Council.

The Cowra Regional Art Gallery is located at 77 Darling Street. Gallery hours are Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm Sunday 10am to 2pm. Admission free. Go to Facebook, Instagram or cowraartgallery.com.au for more information.
